Echoes of Resistance: The Chicano Movement

Echoes of Resistance is a data visualization piece that traces the history and influence of the Chicano Movement in the United States. Built from archival photographs of the demonstrations and protests of the late 1960s and early 1970s, the images assemble into a point cloud that forms the United Farm Workers eagle before transforming into a motion-captured figure. Rather than presenting the history as a static record, the piece moves through the movement’s stages: its key figures, its protests, and what it left behind.
