Ursie's Saloon
This audio-reactive project was created using TouchDesigner and TDAbleton, inspired by a soundtrack I composed for the video game "Night Loops". The featured track, “Urselk’s Saloon,” served as the foundation for my visual interpretation and exploration. I incorporated and remixed in-game image assets provided by the developer to ground the visuals in the game's world.
The project is structured into four distinct scenes, each utilizing all of the operator families in some capacity. Instancing played a key role in generating complex geometries efficiently, allowing me to create detailed visual layers without compromising performance.
Since I produced the music myself, I had full access to the individual stems, which allowed me to isolate specific elements—such as MIDI notes, rhythms, and textures—and precisely map them to different aspects of the visuals, including color, scale, opacity, and movement. This level of creative control made it possible to craft a nuanced and highly responsive audiovisual experience.
